Black Truffle Dinner at Above in South Orange

‘Tis the season for Black Truffle! In proper seasonal fashion, the acclaimed Above Restaurant & Bar, will be hosting a decadent truffle dinner with wine pairings on Tuesday night, January 10, 2012 from 6 pm - 10 pm.
Just how decadent is this dinner? Well, I got a peek at the menu, and it is rather outstanding. The Amuse will feature grilled hickory smoked bacon, jicama cantaloupe slaw, and truffle foam, and the main course, appropriately named “Heaven and Earth,” will feature petit filet mignon, duxelles filled scallop, celery root scurma, celery leaf salad truffle Muscato dressing, with Perigourdine and Foie Gras sauce.
What better dining can you ask for a Tuesday night? Tickets for the dinner are priced at $75. The regular menu will also be available on that evening.
